Under-Eye Filler

What is Under-Eye Filler?

Tear trough filler addresses the hollow or shadowed area between the lower eyelid and the top of the cheek, which can read as tiredness regardless of how much sleep you're actually getting.

Because the skin under the eyes is thin and the anatomy is more delicate than other filler areas, this treatment uses a softer filler formulated for that specific area, placed carefully and usually in smaller amounts than lip or cheek filler.

This is one of the more technique-sensitive filler treatments, which is why Linden treats it as its own consultation rather than an add-on decided in the waiting room.

Good Candidates

  • •Patients with visible hollowing or shadowing under the eyes that makeup doesn't fully cover
  • •Adults who've been told they "look tired" independent of actual sleep or stress levels
  • •Patients comfortable with a more delicate treatment area and a longer bruising window than other filler

Not a Good Candidate

  • •Patients whose main concern is under-eye skin laxity or crepiness rather than hollowing — that's a different conversation
  • •Anyone with a history of filler complications in the tear trough area at another practice, without records to review first
  • •Patients wanting a same-day, no-consultation appointment — this area is always assessed in person first

Your Appointment Timeline

1

In-depth consultation

Dana examines the under-eye area in natural light to determine whether hollowing, pigmentation, or skin laxity is the main driver of the tired look.

2

Numbing

Topical numbing cream is applied for several minutes given the sensitivity of the area.

3

Injection

A softer, thinner filler is placed in small increments using a cannula technique where appropriate to reduce bruising risk.

4

Immediate check

You'll look in a mirror before leaving to confirm symmetry; any visible bruising is covered with camouflage makeup on request.

5

Two-to-three week follow-up

Final results are assessed once any swelling has fully resolved, since this area settles more slowly than lips or cheeks.
