What is Microneedling?
Microneedling uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which prompts the skin's own repair process and encourages new collagen production over the following weeks.
A single session can improve overall texture and tone, but this is a treatment built around a series — the best results usually show up after three to four sessions spaced about a month apart, not after one visit.
It can also be paired with a topical serum applied during treatment, which is absorbed more deeply because of the micro-channels the needles create.
Good Candidates
- •Patients with acne scarring, enlarged pores, or uneven texture
- •Anyone comfortable committing to a series of sessions rather than a single visit for best results
- •Patients wanting a treatment that works across most skin tones with low pigmentation risk
Not a Good Candidate
- •Patients with active acne breakouts, which should be addressed before microneedling the same area
- •Anyone on isotretinoin (or who has been within the last 6 months)
- •Patients wanting immediate, one-visit results — that's closer to what a HydraFacial delivers

Consultation
Dana reviews your skin history and confirms you're not on any medications that would delay this treatment.
Numbing
Topical numbing cream is applied for 20-30 minutes before treatment.
Microneedling pass
The device passes over the treatment area at a calibrated depth, with an optional serum applied simultaneously.
Calming treatment
A soothing mask or serum is applied immediately after to reduce redness.
Series follow-up
Sessions are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart; Dana will recommend a series length based on your goals at the first visit.
